Go Veg, Save The Planet

I was overwhelmed with positive messages from friends and family after my post “Be The Change” and want to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude for the support and encouragement I have from people I’ve known all my life, and people I’ve never even met! I want to reiterate that I do not do this for myself, but for the billions of animals we share this amazing planet with, as well as for your health and the health of our Earth.

I challenge you to make a choice today to eat at least one veg meal. Any other time, I challenge you to envision the part of the body of the animal you are eating. This might bring a bit more of a reality to the fact that chickens, cows, pigs, and other precious animals have the same desires in life as you and I – to live. If you wish to end a cruelty-supporting lifestyle, I’ve compiled a list of some things that have helped me and my friends.

The process of transitioning  is different for each and every person. Sometimes people start by eating more fruits and veggies, and some just eliminate animal products from their lives altogether. Whatever works for you is best! These are simply the steps that I took and the things that I’ve seen work for me and other individuals. While this may be overwhelming to open dozens of links on your computer, you can take it slow and read a few at a time (blue text = links).

The most helpful resource for most people are documentaries, most of which can be found on Netflix:

When we choose to love ourselves by putting goodness into our bodies, it directly reflects into our minds and creates a more positive way of thinking, thereby making a more positive World. By loving others, we begin to see this choice reflect on all those we encounter. When we choose to smile about where we are now in society, we are choosing peace. Peace within ourselves, and peace on Earth. If we can all take a fraction of this vision and manifest it into our daily decisions, eventually we will all know peace. How beautiful that our decision to eat better for the betterment of ourselves, for the betterment of others, can create a better Wolrd, a sort of heaven on Earth. It may not be in this lifetime, or many after this, but eventually this World can feel permanent bliss by accepting each and every living being and choosing a harmless lifestyle. It’s not going to be easy, but it will be so incredibly gratifying and beautiful, that it will be worth it.
