Kure Smoothie Recipe Hack

I have an addiction to Kure Juice Bar’s “The Extra Mile” smoothie. It is creamy, smooth, sweet, and delicious. I wake up and have a need for the taste on my tongue. However, the cost for two of these smoothies to satiate my boyfriend and my addiction becomes a little outlandish. I decided I would attempt to make a similar smoothie from home. There were several depressing and futile attempts that made me think it was impossible… but I think I’ve found the right mix!


Kure Juice Bar Extra Mile Smoothie Recipe


(Serves 2)
5 pitted Dates
1/2 cup unsweetened Shredded Coconut
2 cups Coconut Milk
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 frozen Bananas
2 handfuls Spinach
1/4 cup Almond Butter
2 tbsp Hemp Seeds
1 cup Ice

(Always buy organic – who wants a pesticide soup?)
In a large blender, add dates, coconut, vanilla extract, and coconut milk. Let the ingredients soak for 15-20 minutes. This will soften the dates and shredded coconut so that the texture isn’t as gritty. Add  all additional ingredients and blend for over 3 minutes to ensure smoooooooth and creamy texture. Pour into your favorite glass. Share with your best friend. Enjoy!


The original Kure smoothie is made up of
Almond Butter
Coconut Yogurt
Coconut Water
Coconut Meat
+ Banana (extra)

Since coconut yogurt is so expensive I decided coconut milk was a fair replacement for coconut yogurt & coconut water. Because I am vegan, I “technically” shouldn’t eat honey, so the dates are the perfect plant-based sweetness replacement. I use spinach in my at home smoothies since my blender is far weaker in comparison to the one’s Kure uses. I definitely will be sure to add avocado next time!
